Founding Partner – Retired
Environmental Law – 1992-2006
Prior to joining her husband as founding partners of Alderman & Alderman, Linda was an environmental attorney in the Hartford office of Robinson and Cole. Linda W. Alderman acted as managing partner at Alderman & Alderman and led the firm’s environmental practice from the firm’s inception in 1992 through 2006. She successfully guided clients through a range of complex cases including the representation of scores of residents in what the local media referred to as “Connecticut’s Love Canal.”
She was instrumental in the drafting the regulations for underground storage tanks and volunteered substantial time and energy to land use and environmental causes with the goal of enhancing the natural resources all around us.
Linda stepped down from the practice of law in 2006, as a result of complications from a rare disease. She is also a two-time breast cancer survivor. Linda experienced the challenges of those with rare diseases and those facing the most common forms of cancer. She now volunteers her time to advocate for changes in laws, rules, and policies to improve patient outcomes for others. She has volunteered as an advocate for Are You Dense and American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, most recently as state lead. As a result of her advocacy, many Connecticut residents now have access to early screening that improves prognosis and saves lives.
